It grows about 1-2 mm per day.</li><li>The follicle is ready for ovulation when it measures about 1.8 to 2.5 cm in diameter.</li><li>Following ovulation, the follicle usually disappears from the ultrasound view completely - this is the best evidence that ovulation has occured.</li><li>Also, follicular fluid which was released when the follicle ruptures can be detected in the abdomen behind the uterus.</li></ul><p><a name="OLE_LINK2"></a><a name="OLE_LINK1"><span style="font-size:78%;">Disclaimer: This website is not intended to create a physician patient relationship.
